When I first worked with rush, it felt like remembering rather than learning—an awakening of ancestral memory. This deep connection to natural materials inspires my work, encouraging others to rediscover respect for native resources. I harvest my rush by hand, and following its journey from river to artwork deepens my admiration for it. I pair this ancient craft with discarded London furniture, seeing restoration as a ritual of preservation. Weaving brought me peace during struggles with eczema - nature quietly guided me toward healing - and my work seeks to share that calm, joy, and hope with others.
