Hanyi Feng

Hanyi Feng is an object and jewellery maker, currently based in Birmingham. She has explored both fields of jewellery and objects through her study at the School of Jewellery, Birmingham.  Texture and surfaces are always the rooted elements of expression in her practice.Formalizing and fusing various textures that accompany the way she captures the fluidity of moments and surroundings. These elements not only engage the visual senses but also provide tactile exploration and a ritualistic journey, for both the creator and the audience, enriching layers of expression to a body of work itself. Hanyi's design aims to evoke a sense of elegance and ritual into modern life. Her recent work explores the relationship between object design and behaviour change.
