Helena Palmeira
Contemporary Jewellery Artist
My practice is driven by a deep commitment to highlighting Brazilian materiality and its cultural significance. By working with materials such as jarina (Amazonian vegetable ivory), reclaimed jacarandá (Brazilian rosewood), and Brazilian emeralds, I seek to celebrate the unique natural resources of Brazil and the layered histories they carry. Through these materials, I aim to draw attention to Brazil’s rich heritage and question traditional perceptions of luxury, proposing a vision rooted in memory, place, and sustainability.
