Luna Xue
Visual Artist
My work explores themes of female identity, trauma, and the body, rooted in personal experiences of PTSD from childhood sexual abuse. Through painting, installation, and mixed media, I examine how memory is held and processed—both physically and emotionally. Growing up in an East Asian context shaped by silence and repression, I use art as a means to reclaim voice, confront pain, and reimagine selfhood. Feminist thinking guides my practice as I navigate the tension between vulnerability and resistance, aiming to create spaces for reflection, empathy, and emotional connection.
