Mingxuan Ma

My recent project, Dionysian City, draws from my personal experience of growing up under metropolitan pressure. Inspired by urban architecture and infrastructure, I integrate real building materials such as concrete and aluminium, along with the textures of city facilities, into jewellery design. Through the direct interaction between jewellery and the body, as well as the indirect emotional resonance evoked by imitation, the work highlights overlooked details of the urban environment. In doing so, it enables the wearer to reconnect with their city on both a physical and emotional level.
