My design practice is rooted in material exploration. For me, materials are not secondary to form, they are central to meaning. A material doesn’t just support a design, it performs it. It speaks, carries memory, and often tells me what the object wants to become. In my process, the material often comes before the sketch. I observe everyday textures and discarded objects, especially those not traditionally used in furniture. I'm drawn to things that feel out of place. These choices are guided by texture, weight, flexibility, and emotional presence.
