Youyang Zhao

My work is driven by a deep love for materials and a continuous exploration of craft. I primarily work with copper and silver, using techniques such as raising, patination, and lacquer to investigate the expressive potential of metal. Through combining materials and experimenting with surface treatments, I seek to reveal the unique character of each piece and to create vessels that embody both tradition and innovation.
