Negative Gaze series is based on the power geometry of shirt collars, exploring the fluidity of power, identity, and visual control through folded metal structures.

My inspiration stems from observations of how uniforms envelop the body. The Negative Gaze series combines metal engraving and folding, transforming the sharp, class-symbolising collar points of uniforms into concave forms, embodying the coexistence of vulnerability and resistance.

The engravings in the concave areas guide the gaze downward, metaphorically representing the moment when the observer is absorbed by the power structure.

The jewellery is no longer merely an accessory to the uniform but a gentle intrusion on the body‘s boundaries, resisting through wear and planting doubt within the form of power.

When you gaze at it, is it also changing you?
