Giovanni Agostini
Finger Food investigates the cultural themes around food and sharing through the lenses of South Asian heritage, art, and design.
It focuses on alternative material choices, eating habits and how form can affect the interactions between people and food. Cultural heritage is key to Finger Food, its forms reference the cooking Matka, the Tawa pans and Kashikari tile art.
Physically, it encourages the use of hands instead of western style cutlery to eat. Designed to encourage the exploration of cultures outside of the western standard and to break South Asian stereotypes.
