In a world driven by technological acceleration, I seek stillness to heal my anxiety of losing position in the world.
I challenge the linear, numerical view of time, redefining it through rhythms of nature and WuXing philosophy. By capturing phenomena such as the resilience of withered trees or movement of waves, I explore time as a dynamic, tangible entity.
Through experimental glazes and firing, I record duration within clay. Each piece becomes a container of time, intentionally avoiding numerical labels, where every surface mark serves as a physical trace of time passing. These “Sensory Archives” invite viewers to step outside conventional frameworks and experience time across multiple dimensions.
My goal is to engage the senses, moving away from measurable units toward an embodied experience of duration. By syncing with natural rhythms, the work offers a gateway to reflect and alleviate time anxiety—inviting visitors to live through time rather than simply counting it.
