Xin Yue

Xin Yue is a London-based interdisciplinary artist and researcher with a background in architecture, jewellery design, and research. She holds an architecture degree from the University of Melbourne and the MRes from the Royal College of Art.and develops practice-based research through the lens of Buddhist and Daoist philosophy, exploring liquid identity, impermanence, and the relationship between self, nature, and cosmos. Working across lampworked glass, jewellery, installation, and light/sound, she creates contemplative, immersive environments where materials act as co-authors.

Xin Yue is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher exploring liquid identity through Eastern philosophy. Drawing on concepts such as impermanence (无常), formlessness (无相), and Dao Fa Zi Ran (道法自然), her work reflects on the shifting relationship between self, nature, and cosmos in contemporary life. Through abstraction and fragmentation, she works with glass, stone, and metal—approaching making as a process of integration rather than control. Viewing herself as a conduit of energy and materials as co-creators, she allows heat, gravity, and time to guide form. Her practice invites reflection on spiritual belonging and presence within transformation.
