Yiwei Huang
Yiwei Huang is a jewellery designer and maker based in London, working with a range of metals and organic materials. She graduated from the MA Fashion Artefact and BA Fashion Jewellery programmes at London College of Fashion. Her work has been exhibited in European group jewellery exhibitions, including ENJOIA’T in Spain and Inflow in Hungary, and shown at galleries and museums such as the Victoria and Albert Museum, Kensington. Her practice explores questions of genuine human connection within a technology-driven, fast-paced world.
Yiwei Huang is a practice-based designer, maker, and artist working at the intersection of contemporary jewellery, craft, and speculative design. Her work interrogates society’s fixation on efficiency and technological automation, asking how these systems reconfigure intimacy and human connection. Working primarily with metal, she treats the body as both canvas and collaborator. Through prototyping and material experimentation, she responds to the body’s weight, movement, and vulnerability, using crafted objects as a space to speculate on alternative ways of relating.
