Zhuoqi Liu

Zhuoqi experienced in working across multiple sensory media, with a focus on the interaction between sound, jewelry, and the body. Skilled in music production, workshop facilitation, and the application of media technology and sensors in healing and sensory practices. Demonstrates strong interdisciplinary capabilities in integrating art, material and technology.

I studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Durham University, focusing on aesthetics and contemporary art criticism, and later completed a postgraduate degree in Jewellery and Metal at the Royal College of Art. Influenced by my experiences with illness, I create interactive sound and wearable works that aim to heal. As a Sichuan Guqin lineage holder, I blend traditional improvisation with binaural beats. Through crisp sounds and calming frequencies by special metal material that was made by me as wearable jewelry, I want my art to bring immediate joy and relief—to awaken the senses and help people feel seen, relaxed, and emotionally connected.
